I was wondering if anybody knew the specs of the stock speakers. I have scoured the threads and posts for this info, but couldn't find it. I am looking for the impedence # for each of the speakers for the Shaker 500 system. I am planning on doing some custom audio, but the audio shop asked me the specs of the stock speakers. I had no idea. I know that the speakers sound pretty good, but I don't know who makes them or model numbers. If anybody has this info, or knows where I need to look for this info, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

 

Speakers are supplied to Ford by Visteon. Probably manufactured by Harman Int'l.

Checked the pinpoint test in the shp manual and all speakers are rated at 4ohms.

The 8" door speakers are dual 2 ohm units wired with each coil independant. I believe the doors are 4 ohm like Matt stated- I haven't checked yet. I'm pretty sure they're manufactured by Onkyo - probably OEM'd to Vifa or more likely Eminence and purchased in lots of 6 kajillion fo less than a penny each. Ford got ripped off even at that price. They're VERY bad drivers.

 

4 OHM and made in CHINA for the read deck and doors on mine. Real high quality stuff! Right !!

 

Actually, MOST speakers are manufactured in China. Only a small handfull are made elsewhere, and most of those are the American brutal subwoofers.
