Steering wheel emblem HELP!, How do you remove it?

It's the real deal. I don't even have Photoshop, nor do I know how to use it. Details to follow. I don't have any good pics of it yet so here's a not-so-good pic.

You will have to modify it some. Create a "lip" around the circumference so that it fits better. The cap it 2.5" in diameter whereas the "hole" is 2.4". Knock off about 1/16" around the circumference and it will fit MUCH better. Then spray paint it either flat or semi-flat black. I used 3M Emblem glue.

How did you make this 'lip' nicely?
It wasn't easy. But first, be careful prying the new cap off the center wheel section. It's stuck on with double-sided 3M tape. I used a single edged razor blade to loosen the tape around the perimeter. I was then able to twist the cap off the wheel center without damaging the black background.
I made the "lip" by very carefully using a Dremel with a cutting wheel on a low speed setting. I took my time and used a fine metal file once I finished making a lip all the way around. After the file, I went over it a couple more times with 400-grit sandpaper, then 600-grit. It was time consuming. I then sprayed the lip with semi-flat paint -- several coats for complete coverage. If you don't get complete coverage, it will show through.
On the airbag, I took a single edged blade and cut away the soft rubber "ribs" to make as smooth a surface as possible. I also had to cut away the rubber around the perimeter because of the size of the "new" center cap. Take your time and turn the steering wheel as you go to get the best angle.
Alright, I ordered one today (4 - 6 weeks ). I'm giving it a try!

I didn't take any pics of the process except when I removed the stock cap. Once it's removed, I used a single-edged razor blade cut in half to make the edge about 1/2-inch long. This made it easier to "shave" down the vertical ridges and the raised circumference. Basically, you want it as flat as you can. Turn the steering wheel as you go to make it easier to get to the ridges and circumference that are more difficult. The key is to take your time. Hope this helps.
