Well Im interested for sure. I have my Sirius Sportster plugged in modulating to my factory radio. I hope what your talking about works because I have looked into all the Sirius radio options and as far as I know the factory shaker 500 or 1000 head units CANNOT control satalite radio. You have to have a satalite compatible head unit or a Sirius raido tuner. So I have no idea how on earth this can work!!!

That is a myth. The Shaker head unit is the same one used in the 500, F 150, Freestyle and Exlporer. Why ford did not offer Sirius as a factory option sooner is beyond me. Same thing goes for the Nav unit. It's actually a crime, these are high markup, high profit options....duh!

Rocket 88 thank you so much for that link. I read all through it and see now I was completed misinformed by others. I was told the shaker 500 could not control sattalite radio but I see it can. WOW this is so exciting, I WANT ONE NOW!!!! This solves everything, keep my 6 CD shaker 500 and Sirius radio , no more modualting static pain in the butt!!!!. YAAAAAA, Where is it , I want it now!!!!!!

UPDATE!

A bit of Confusion on What Radio's May or may not Work with this Kit. Seems Ford Has Different Codes for Mustang and other Radios in their Service Chain. It will most likely have to be Cross Checked by ID# on Radio. There will me More than one Kit Part Number and A Specific Kit will be Needed for Specific Radios. As Soon as I have more Conclusive Info I will Post. I would Reccomend Patience on this as nobody wants to Buy a Kit and Have it not work correctly. Hopefully they will Release in September / October.

I don't understand. Is ford offering a new radio headunit? Or some kinda modification to the Shaker to allow for the Aux button to work with a sirius anntena?

it's an add on that will plug into the back of your shaker head unit and give you sirius when you push the aux button.

Sounds interesting, but I would assume the SIRIUS interface on the Shaker isn't the best (really need a larger, navigation-type screen to get the most out of the system IMO).

Finally saw the Ford navigation system with SIRIUS in an Explorer last weekend... was pretty slick. Good display for the satellite radio portion (title, artist, channel, 2 sets of presets, etc.), and also touchscreen. Hopefully the nav system won't be cost prohibitive (and would hopefully work on an 05).

Interested in seeing the results of this interface though... keep us posted!
