I lived in Tucson during the eighties and had to drive over the border frequently for business in my 84GT stang.
- I've always wondered why I was never stopped by US customs coming back? The only way I can figure is that they thought I was too smart to risk seizure of that beauty.

Why do all cops have power trips....go arrest someone who murdered someone and leave others alone. No wonder jails are so full because you all arrest the people who are not hurting anyone but themselves. :angry:

 

Look, how do you think cops figure out who might have just committed a crime if they don't pull people over (who look suspicious)? People that break one law have a tendency to break other laws; and in most places drugs, even pot, is against the law. The young are also far more likely to be law breakers. Those with fast cars, speeders and risk takers, and so on. You know you're innocent, er, at least not guilty of a more serious crime, but cops don't -- so they have to ask to find out.

Personally, I agree that pot is a lame crime. In fact, I think the drug war is as big a failure as prohibition was. Same with prostitution. Legalize it, so you can control it, and stop rewarding the criminals. That being said, society is the stupid thing; they've said it is against the law -- and cops are just doing their jobs enforcing it. So I don't blame cops (much) for doing their jobs.
