There really is a compartment in the console.
Saw it the other day at the dealer.
It opens up to the pivot point of the parking brake handle.
No idea what it's really for.
I don't have mine yet so I can't take pics.
Someone with an '05 go take a look. (and a pic)

Jason
Mine was partially open after I took it to the shop to listen to the transmission (no problem there) You're right it looks like there's a place to adjust the e-brake.

heh. i always used the spare tire area, but then again I've also always been upfront if i've been stopped. then again, this is moot as I'll be getting my perscription in two weeks.

Hey mongoose dont get bent out of shape about "US" I have much better things to do in my day that pin a little personal comsumption dope case on johnny dirtbag. But if you leave me the reason to believe and the chance to do it I will search. Now I said tear the cabin apart as an example, I actually never leave the car any worse than when I start but no stone is left unturned. Just remember if you decide to have it, be ready for the penalties.

If you read the tread about radar detectors you would see that I gave good advice how to mount your detectors for best results so you hopefully will stay out of a big fat tix. I may be the "Fuzz" but I still dont want to see any of my stang buddies getting jammed up for being stupid!

Is this the compartment you're talking about, Jason? I forgot who took this picture, but I know it's the car from the Cincinnati tour.

That place under the fake cupholder bottom looks like an ideal place to store the key to your wheel locks

I found it too Jason. The cover was rattling and I do hate that noise. Quiet now. [/b][/quote]
How about a pic.
Didn't seem like there was any purpose to the compartment.

you put your weeed in there!

I've never done any drugs in my life, unless it came in a bottle with my name on it. If somebody wants to do drugs to clear their mind or whatever, let em I don't care. This is america, do whatever you want. Besides we all need somebody to pump gas into our GTs.

Can you believe I'm Republican?

Hey DustinDu4, I'm a bit of a conservative (more a moderate) myself. I don't really care what people do in their own homes. If they get stoned and drive, and risk the lives of me, my friends or family, I have a bit more of a problem. And if you're having to carry your doobies around in your car, instead of keeping it at home in your stash drawer, then you're probably a bit more of a risk to others -- and I've got a little problem with it.

Everyone I've known that got patted down, had their cars searched as well.
