I've searched high and low on the net for a direct line in connectivity for and ipod and haven't come up with anything compatible with the 05 Mustang. I currently use the Griffin itrip FM transmitter, and it's fine for my crappy radio in my crappy car. But I don't think it will be the greatest solution once I get my stang.

I was in Best Buy last week buying a Belkin charger to use in the new car and the sales guy approached me and to see if I needed help, I explained to him the situation with connecting an ipod to an 05 Mustang and he was really convinced that a FM modulator made by Metra ($39.99 + $45? installation) was the best solution. He explained that it still works off of a radio frequency, but it was direct line quality. In addition to plugging in an ipod, you could plug in anything with that size jack like a cd player. This product does not charge the ipod.

I want to find out more about this product, it sounds like it might work out. Anyone have any feedback about the Metra FM Modulator?
