Help! I've called every tint shop in town, along with several window companies, and even automotive accessory stores, and nobody carries or will get the felt strips to keep the hard window guide from scratching the tint.
Anybody have this stuff or know where I can get it?
Thanks!

My tint place carries it but guaranteed it would not scratch without it or it will be replaced with free felt! So far not a single scratch. I think it is about a 50/50 split on whether it will scratch from what I have read.

I got some a month ago from a fellow TMS member. Here's a link to where they got the stuff:
http://www.crlaurence.com/ProductPag...7.html?Origin=
They bought a hundred foot roll, cut it up into ten-foot pieces, and sold it all in less than a week for $10 a piece (enough to do two doors).
You might see if you can get enough people together that would want to do something like that...
Best of Luck,

Also you might try a fabric store. I get a real kick out of invading the female domain of fabric stores as I shop for batting, burlap and vinyl to use on the restoration of my '67 coupe!

Thanks everyone for your help and advice. I was pulling my hair out trying to find some. I have some ordered from drizztbob. He's going to overnight it to me Tuesday, so I'll put it on Wednesday. I just don't roll the windows up and down for now.
Thanks agian!

Had mine done here in San Diego by a guy been in the business for over 15 years, told him about the problem with scratches other people were having. He said he's done over 10 of them with no problems just have to know what you're doing (his words). Been over 2 months now and no scratches.

I went to my local Hobby Lobby Craft Store and picked up two pieces of adhesive-backed black felt. I took the door panel off and pulled the strip off the door, measured it (twice) and then cut the pieces of felt to fit. I got a professional looking fit and it works great.
Total cost for both pieces, $1.98.
