I have a question concerning the back-up camera installation...if you install the back-up camera in the removed trunk lock spot, would the Active Anti-Theft System still work correctly (trunk locked confirmation)?

I have active anti-theft and camera mounted in in trunk lock opening. No problem with anti-theft system.

Sorry if this is a repeat question (I'm not audiophonically [is that a word?] inclined...
I have the Shaker 500 and will be installing the Kenwood Excelon DDX-7017, Kenwood TV tuner and the trunk back-up camera. Besides the harness kit, will I need the voltage regulator to avoid the pop at power up/down?
Also, would I need to get the AudioControl LC6 or LC8 (Line Output Converter) to use the door subs of the Shaker 500? If so, would I need the LC8 (2 more channels) if I want to add a trunk sub and amp?

If you intend on using the factory amps, yes. You will need to use a voltage regulator to avoid the popping. There is a voltage difference between what the factory amps use for signal on, and what the head unit puts out at it's signal on wire.

There is no need for a converter. The harness kit comes with two plugs, one main plug for the power, speakers, delay, etc., and one to the amps for the subs. The head unit has two sub outs ( if I remember right ), just put one on the door subs and one to the rear sub ( mono is better anyway for subs IMO ).

I'm about to do an install of a Kenwood DDX-7017 and KNA-G510 NAV with Sirius and camera. This is an excellent write-up but I have a question. How do you connect the Voltage regulator for the amp? Do you solder the wires to it or do you use wire connectors and crimp them on?
