My custom seats are done!! Pics!!!
I've been going back and forth about blue inserts in my seats, but ultimately decided against it. The rational being, too much blue. So having seen others like what I did, I took a look at a swatch of Katzkin Pacific Blue leather, and settled on the color. I dropped my car off at Autobond Restoration in Bristol PA on Monday afternoon, and got a call it was done Tueday night. I got the Pacific Blue stiched into the top roll of the stock GT seats, a la Mach1 style. I got all 4 done and it looks killer! When he sent me an email with the picture, I couldn't wait to pick it up. While its not a perfect match to Vista (not much out there is), it does match the piping PERFECTLY, and looks fantastic (my camera stinks, and I can't figure out how to change the backlighting or aperture to make darker) The color is not teal but a nice royal blue. Makes the stock seats look 100X's better. Here are the pics, let me know what you think.
Scothew (or any other mod), I posted in here, as not as many members go into the interior mods forum. Feel free to move this after it gets some replies. Just wanted more people to see the mod, and give ideas out there. Thanks bud.

No worries Carl. The tab was just over $600 plus tax of course. Not a bad price considering it would have been over double that price for full seat replacements with the inserts done. I can't stop staring at the seats now, when I'm sitting in the car and waiting at red lights, they look that good .

Thanks for the positive replies everyone. Didn't want to go over the top with a seat mod, and I think I hit the head right on the nail. Can't wait to take it to the next show and see the reaction I get.

Your seats look great. I also prefer more of an understated look. In my case, I went with the red / black Katzkin seats as opposed to Ford factory red. The red factory interior was too much red for my taste.
You got a good value too. Congrats.

Thanks forthe compliment on the headrest wraps. When he emailed me pics of different designs, I kept going back to this pattern. Its the new version of the tri-bar pony emblem, from the concept car. I liked it so much, I got the same design on all 4 seatbelt wraps as well. But yeah, they pretty much were a one and done (for now anyway). He's a little shy about this as he's not "technically" licensed by FoMoCo to make them, so he stays low-key (mostly word-of-mouth). Once his new home is done being built, he may get back into it, but I guess my timing was good.
