Anyone ever hear back from George regarding v2 of the Cupholder?

FYI-
I am using an extra large cup from Taco Bell to hold the cans and bottles that are too large for the useless bezel. It does not look good and it is in the way but it is a place to hold my Diet Coke. Also, you cannot reach down and get anything out that falls down inside bezel. I was very disappointed.

Beware before you buy version 1.

I like the look. I just don't like the location of the cupholder. It's in the way of my arm when I drive. I've got manual drive. Everytime I switch gears and a bottle or can is there, my arm hits it.

Also helps, I have a no eat, no drink rule in my car. If at all drinking, it will be water. Learned from the mini-van and corolla, spills are not good.

take out the false bottom in the rear cupholder. regular sized fast food drinks then sit down plenty low for you to shift

Didn't hear but looking at the picture it looked like it would be a tight fit still. I will probably just keep it handy for car shows if it's too tight, I use mine all the time. I did find out today that the A/C ***** are out of stock and being manufacturered. I wanted them for a car show on the 24th but doesn't look like I'll get them, they said should ship within 2 weeks which pretty much leaves me boned!

Yeah I ordered my A/C ***** maybe a month ago... got a call a week ago (after I sent an e-mail wondering where my stuff was) saying some of the parts were out of stock. Not a big deal, I don't even have my car yet!

Doh.

At first, I thought you were joking, "false bottom, what's he talking about".

So, I poke around, and lo and behold, the bottom comes out.

Have the car for 4 months now, this is an easter egg for me.

Thanks!

my mother was complaining about the same problem in her V6 a couple of months ago...she was amazed when I pulled the false bottom out. she'd had the car about a year at that point

sorry for not responding to this sooner but i have actually sent many emails out that have inquired about this. the new version is actually already out. it has been out for over 2 months now. the front hole had to remain the same size. sorry but it could not go any bigger without basically removing the bezel altogether. but the rear opening is now a full 3 inches and i am working opn an insert for the front holder that will flare it out to hold a soda can. it will fit both the gen 1 and gen 2 bezels.

Hey George, do you have a picture you can post of the Gen II cupholder bezel? I was just on your site and didn't see a picture of it anywhere. I'd like to see what the new one looks like before I decide on ordering it, as I do use my cupholders, and the bottles really don't interfer with my shifting. Thanks for the help.

I received the new version of the cupholder bezel from MGW last week. Cans fit with room to spare in the rear opening and most cups and plastic soda bottles fit as well. The front opening is "Red Bull" can size, but I don't use it anyway. Like all MGW products, the finish is out of this world. I'm very happy with their stuff.

Ditto on the picture, George. I went to the website and did not see a new picture. Can you show us one, before I order, I just really want to see what it looks like. Thanks,

Bama, can you post a pic of your bezel, since you already have one? I'd really like to see the new one.
