actually that shift **** is ours ( MGW) it is a prototype and the ***** are in production now. UPR ripped off our design on this as most all of our stuff . We have had this style **** for about 6 years for the older mustangs.

That doesn't surprise me one bit! I question their business ethics anyway. I've been waiting 3 months for a
stupid rad support cover. Every time I call they say 7-10 days........ridiculous.

I think George is saying the **** is the same design as his, and UPR ripped it off!

When will the **** with chrome base ring be ready for the 05. I could not settle for the plastic ring after seeing that picture. I want to place one order for everything, cup bezel, e-brake handle, and ****.

Looking at the 2004 and earlier section of the MGW site, the **** in question is definately very similar to the composite race ****. I also like that the **** itself is smooth rather than bumpy!!

I think that is a terrible idea, because then I will have another piece from MGW to buy [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif[/img] I'm amazed by their quality and am so glad that I found their ***** and other pieces rather than going with the crud from UPR.

Speaking of which, the UPR replacement for the lock/unlock fob for our car is terrible, because it's got their name on it. I think MGW should make one with a GT logo on it! I'd buy one (poor, poor bank account).

i installed A/C ***** and brake handle this weekend

i think they look great!

i was very disappointed that he drink holder holes make it too small to use for a can of pop

i will have to velco it in so i can take it off to actually use it as a beverage holder

it looks great

but i like "form and function"

i would think they should but a "disclaimer" on their website so you know before ordering...

i have some pictures

not sure i would have ordered it if i knew that you cannot use pop cans anymore....[attachmentid=46395][attachmentid=46396][attachmentid=46397][attachmentid=46398][attachmentid=46399]

Yeah, I sorta noticed the size thing after looking at the pictures in this forum.. and that's why I didn't order it. I use the cup holders a lot for drinks, cell phone, wallet, pens, IPod, etc. I really like the gap between the two holes for larger slender objects too.

So I'm down with the idea of dressing up that area of the car but I thought the attention went the wrong direction.. less attention on the cup holder (I mean.. a cup holder is a cup holder) and more attention on the shifter bezel. I ended up installing the UPR bezel but would rather have a MGW one. (Note, I only installed the UPR one after going at it with steel wool and cutting off the bolt heads and glueing them in so that it looks like it bolts on but the whole unit is really taped on.. no way I’m bolting through the leather). I LOVE the anodized silver look of the MGW parts and would defiantly order a bezel from MGW if they made one... especially if the installation didn't involve drilling through the leather boot. Does anyone know if MGW has any plans for that?

So you know what I’m talking about, pics of my UPR bezel at:

I just got an email from George he said he's pretty close to completing the 2nd Gen design of the Cup holder, with a larger back opening. Can't wait to see it.

Sounds sweet IMO! I wish He would have the time to bring out more product choices for the O5 very soon.

Thats a crock for those of us who already have the one with the small opening. I was excited about it and bought it sight unseen, but its useless.
