How to turn off the seat belt reminder
#21
This has never been a problem for me, I am very cautious with the seatbelt since it saved my life, so it's the first thing I do, however, my boyfriend and my nest friend hardly ever wear thiers until the car starts beeping, and yes it's annoying, but it makes them wear thiers, so I am ok with it. I can also see your guy's point in wanting it disabled though.

I wear it all the time. I just don't put it on before starting the car, so it irritates me. I have good hearing, so that does not help at all...
I'm also of THREE minds on seat belts: 1) I know they improve your chances in most cases. 2) I also know someone that was killed wearing his seatbelt that probably would have survived if he didn't have it on. But that was a very strange accident and 95% of the time, you are definitely better off with the belt on! 3) I THOUGHT this was a free country??? Why in the heck are we allowing the goverment to tell us what to do in our own cars JUST FOR OUR OWN GOOD??? And before all the "medical costs" people jump in, get tobacco and alchohol banned and get a REAL war on drugs and THEN you can talk to me about how much it costs for people to not wear their seat belts. Have you any idea what booze, tobacco and drugs are costing this country?

RRRoamer, I have to tell you. I think of this topic every time I start the car now. It doesn't bug me at all, get a little laugh out of it now. If the beeping is like nails on a chalkboard to you, then yep I think you should be able to turn it off.
Any progress with the 12 buckle method?
