That's just an ornament that was on the original pony interior.

Greg, the "Pony" interior is actually the deluxe interior from '65-'66. Check out the pics in the timeline.

I didnt put headrests back on cause it reminded me of the old sport seats that were real short backed like that.

I don't think the headrests would take away from the 60s look, especially in black. PLUS it's a lot safer with the head rests on!

Safety is the most important factor I think. If I was at a show I would take them off, but while driving I would want that thing on.

Did you get those from Roadwire? I called them for over a month and never got a return call. Guess they didn't want my money. Very nice by the way.

Looks great w/o the headrests.
And it's allows you to see what's around you a lot better.

Like a nice view of the ambulance arriving to treat your neck injuries? :nono:

Seriously, removing a safety feature for "looks" is simply not smart.

Those seats look incredible. I don't think the headrests would detract from them at all.

It's great to see how much we all love one another on this site. Everyone's so concerned about everyone else's safety. Kind of reminds me of my Mom and Dad.

And yes, those seats do look great - with or without the headrests - they look good.

I do like the pony interior. It does look quite a bit like one from the 60's. Below is a shot of a 60's interior. Compare.
