Yeah man its an awesome unit!!

Start with this EQ curve. I adjust every once in awhile playing with it but this general curve sounds best IMO. Let me know what you think. Doesn't have to be exactly this but close.

I tired all the presets but didn't find one that tickled my fancy. I started messing with the custom setting. What is the EQ curve?

Couldn't tell you lol I have particular ears when it comes to music but don't know much about EQ settings and stuff like that. But I was showing my dad my HU and he went into the EQ settings and made this curve. Made the sound sooooo much better. I don't need speakers anymore. Completely satisfied. I'm thinking its a standard EQ curve to follow. Like a general custom setting that appeals to most people.

It definitely sounds better than any of the preselected EQ's.

I like the mid's a little higher and I don't peak the ends, I also never have the high's higher than the lows

It may have sounded like I knew what I was talking about, but I don't lol Not sure where the "highs" and "mids" are. Do you have a picture? Or mind explaining what switches you recommend to adjust.

Your lows (bass) are the start of your equalizer, mid's followed by the highs (treble) are at the end.

Finally got it installed the apps are a nice feature but they are not a must! It's only works with 1 app that I already had downloaded! Love the head unit though!

Netflix then it lists apps on there that are compatible with the radio. If you want to look the app that shows you the compatible apps is AppRadio.

I thought there was a huge list of apps that work if you got the correct cable. Did you get this cable http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130IU20...D-IU201S.html?

Hey all, I have a crazy idea and need some input. I have a GT500 front end and always scrape my chin spoiler. I thought about putting a back up camera in the front vice the rear to help me tell how close I am.

Anyone used a camera for this purpose or recommend one that is slim?

Thanks

Jesse

I don't have any experience with such thing but there was a nice tutorial write up in this section about a guy installing a backup camera. It was for the rear, but it'd be a good start.

If you choose one with HD-quality it would make for some really sweet videos.

As to how to mount it, if you use the front license plate on your car (in your state) , they make frames with the camera mounted already or ready top accept yours.
