Ghetto Rig XM Satellite Radio
Forgot to post this before my car got sent into the shop. I pretty much ghetto rigged my XM roady kit and it works great, I have all pictures. But it also has a description of what I did and how I hid the antenna wire
*Note* The XM antenna is not on top of the car, it is in the car and I still get reception with no static!! B)

Setup # 3

And yes, it still works with the antenna sitting right there, rather than on the roof, or u could also buy the Window Mount Antenna, but I like that where it is, i drove over every obstruction on the highway above me and its clear......
That piece of paper behind the modualtor is the XM Radio Channel Guide, I had to print one offline cause I lost the little yellow card that came with it B)

Having spoken to several sattelite users, XM and Sirius, you should have no problem.
It is a line of sight antenna and could care less if it's under glass.
We have Sirius with car and home docks.
When I want to use it at home I drop the antenna between the inner and outer glass of a window. Works just fine.
I'ts too dark for pics but I have two docks on CCTV camera mounting brackets.
Perfect size for a cupholder or tie-wrapped to an emergency brake handle.
