Getting tinting done need opinions

Hey everyone, I have an appointment to hev my windows tinted though I have two questions and would appreciate your feedback.

1. I can only tint the rear half of the stang, where I live in NJ there are laws against tinting the drivers side window so I did not want the stang 3/4 tinted. Given this I remember my shop offering 3 percentages of tinting, 10, 20, and I think 35. Now I do want the windows darker but not so dark that you can't see out of them at night, so what % tint should I get?

2. Has anyone else tinted only half the car? If so how does it look, pics would be nice.

Thanks for all your input.

I have 15% on mine and that is about as dark as you can go and still see at night. So out of your choices I would say 20.
Haven't seen any Mustangs with just the back half tinted.
What is the law on the Driver Side ? No tint at all or a certain % ???

To avoid the issue of scratched front windows and melting glue, I had only the rear and back windows tinted. The back is slightly darker than the rear side windows. Here is a pic. I hope it works.

I have 20 everywhere except the windshield and although I love the looks, at night, you can not trust what you do not see outside. It gets pretty dark at night, I do not even need to adjust the rearview. Of course it is a moot point now that spring is here because you can't even see the tint.

The "felt" refers to a strip of velcrow or actual felt that MUST be put on the rubber strip that rubs the inside of the window. Most car are equipt from the factory with felt but not the new mustangs. Without it, the first piece of dirt that gets caught between that rubber and your tint will scratch it to pieces!

There was a great post awhile back on how to instal the felt.

Long story about my felt install (was done under warranty actually), but mine looks exactly like the outside edge now. Is that moleskin ?
We have had a couple triple digit days here (Oklahoma City) and no problems so far.

Got mine done today. 35% side, 20% quarters and rear. The 35% side is the darkest legal in CT. Rear has no limit so i went darker. I was afraid the doors weregoing to be too light, but it looks great.

Scarpi, thank you for the pic looks great on that color! Thanks to everyone who helped me out. I am going to go with the 20% on the side and in the rear. OKC yeah no drivers tint where I live, I know that to be true because all the little ricers around here tint everything with limo tint except the drivers window (unless that some kind of gang symbol...hey it is Jersey). I believe it the law was written to protect the police, most people roll down their window when the cop comes up to it giving someone plenty of time to get a gun or knife ready. If it protects the boys in blue I can live with it.

nope.. not moleskin. Moleskin is a soft but durable cotton felt. I'm curious to know exactly what the dealer did to yours.
here is a link that shows it by the roll.
