I put my auto dimming mirror in today, and holy crap, this vehicle is complicated. First I couldnt find the interior fuse box, unplugged some box that said telco electronics on it, and had to run wire through the doors the ghetto way. I couldnt find the firewall plug to run wire through, I looked on the drivers side, and saw no place on the engine side of the firewall on either side, either im just blind or there is no way to get through the firewall without drilling. Also where is this passenger fuse box, the manual said "passenger side kick panel", and I accessed it, but just saw that telco electronics box and something underneath it, help me, I need it bad, thanks.

The fuse box is on the passenger side, up against the right wall, close to the passenger door. Open up that little access door to get to the fuse box. As far as a hole in the firewall, look on the driver's side way over on the left. I wired my radar detector and there is definitely a hole there. You can actually access it from outside the car, in between the firewall and the front tire. If you take off the plastic wheel well cover, you can pass the wire through the hole there and into the cabin, and vice versa.

Has anyone figured out how to open that fuse box in the kick panel? The owners manual doesn't mention how to open it.

It's been a while since I did, but I think you just pop off the outside face of the box. It has a little catch on it that you can pull right off. I'd have to go and actually open it up to remember exactly what to do, but it's not too hard once you open the access door to the box.

I opened the access door and couldn't figure out how to get the cover off. It has a catch on each side , but I couldn't get them to release. I finally had to take the scuff plate off and then take the kick panel off to expose the whole area. Once I got the access door off the fuse box , I just left it off since once you put the kick panel back on it enclosed behind it ...

For wiring pass through to the engine compartment, on the far right of the bulkhead just foreward of the interior fuse panel is a wiring harness and seal with an extra "nipple" that you can slit and pass wiring through. Note that you must remove the right side rear wheel house to run wiring into the engine compartment. Wheel house removal is really easy-just four phillips head nylon pins-just 1/4 turn releases them. Wheel removal is not necessary but does make the task somewhat simpler.

Posting a couple of pics to try to help. Taking off the fenderliner is easier than taking off the wheel... piece of cake. Thanks for the info.

The one pic shows a wire passing through it.
