door subs

Anybody know if the Rockford Fosgate P2D48 speakers will fit where the factory door subs are? any modification needed, etc?

Also, what speakers fit there and look good?

Shelby carries a direct replacement for the doors subs and speakers, which are made by Kicker.

I was looking for something more pleasing to the eye than the crappy looking grille. which is why i was wanting to change my door subs out. I like the look of the Fosgate P2D48's, and was wondering if anybody had installed them and knew what it took to install em

ive had P1s in my car for about two years now. no pics right now, but I had to use a heatgun to mold the stock sub housing around the new sub. Also, I dynamatted the **** out of both doors and door panels. It sounded good, but it sounds GREAT since I added the 10in. P1 in the trunk.

If the crappy look is the problem, which I agree whith you about. Then a cheap easy fix that I did was pull off the ring and paint it, and put a nice weave fabric over the speaker. I really like how it looks on mine.

Not the greatest pic, but I took some 8" Polk MOMO's back in 2007 and fit them into the openings. They came with an optional grille which fit perfectly.

I had to do alot of modifying to the back of the opening. Cut it out and fiberglas it reshaping the baffle, but making sure the window will still clear. Wouldn't want to do it again, but it sounds good.

I've got a 4 way processor that is sending 80-250hz only to them. And they're getting 120w each.
