Are there any DVD units that sit completely flat in the opening? Would love to get one installed but am very picky and want the dash and radio to be flush.

Kenwood has an iPod adaptor cable. As for adding Satellite radio, just get the Sirius receiver addon from Kenwood. It's less than a hundred bucks.

The Kenwood has options to either lower the music volume and talk over it, or mute and talk over it, or not talk at all. You can adjust the volume of the voice direction and you can also specifiy which speaker(s) you want the voice direction to come from. Left front, both fronts, or all.

The latest Ford navigation head unit is manufactured in Japan by Pioneer.

Also, the factory Shaker 500 head unit does not lie flat against the dash on my 2006 Mustang GT. The faceplate sticks out 1mm.

I'm building a "carputer" with Touchscreen NAV/DVD/Sat Radio/MP3 Library. Once it's complete I'll post a writeup

Bump for a good thread. I'm looking to get a DVD/NAV/XM/FM/MP3/whatever. I think the Alpine looks the best in the dash, looks very flush and almost stock looking. But I like the features and the cost of the Pioneer Z1, but does anybody have pics of it in the dash? Or any pics of other headunits mounted up?

Thanks!

Couldn't you use one of the aftermarket DVD/Nav head units as a monitor for a carputer?
