That **** is the coolest one i've seen for a 2005 Mustang.
$80.00 for a custom machined shifter like that is dirt cheap. I have one that looks just like that on the back of my Explorer. Called trailer ball. Go buy a stainless one and cut the shank off and drill and tap a 1/2-20 hole for the shifter. Same thing but it does not say GT.

I had a guy I know machine this shift **** out of a block of aluminum for me. I love the way it looks.

**** picture 1
**** picture 2
**** picture 3
**** picture 4

That is exactly what I would put in mine. No hurst ****, no go-go nitrous ****, just pure simple, elegant GT.

Thanks for all the good comments. The weight of the **** is perfect in my opinion. Its a little heavy but not heavy enough to be annoying when shifting. Again i'll keep you guys posted as to when he is able to start making them. As for the engraving on the top, this guy can do anything you can think up. He is truly a perfectionist. Thanks again and i'll keep you posted. I will be posting pictures of all angles later today specially of the **** off the car so you can get a better look at it.

Definitely interested. While we are on the subject, have not looked into the stock IUP **** but from what I have read it does screw off (versus set screw, etc ) and is a different thread size (?) than the 04, Correct? - Thanks

OK, I just found these ***** at UPR:

http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopdi...t=Shift%2BKnobs

Some are very similar and only cost about $30 each. Can't tell if they have the lip for the shift boot, though. If not, then your friend has a great product. Otherwise, $80-100 might be a little steep...

Wow, I that one Import-Slaya. Depending on the guys pricing and availability, I most likely end up with one of those two.

Quick question, are we fitted for 12mm threads? I've never switched out a shifter **** before. All I know is it comes off but I don't know what kind of specs you have to check before hand, and what ours are.

I contacted UPR and they do not have any shift ***** for the 05 yet. They also don't know when they will be producing any either.... :notnice:

Do some of these companies just not realize the market they are missing out on?? We are all very eager to make our rides perfect. Steeda seems to get it, but some of the others are really dropping the ball. :nono:

Our threads are different from previous years (not sure what the exact pitch is). Hopefully the aftermarket catches on and starts churning out more products for the 2005's.

IMO, this is a "nice mix" between old and new and would look good. Believe Nick has a Steeda Tri-Ax which I am assuming is not the thread size of the 05 (I may be wrong). Would have to fit the 05.

Exchanged emails with a MRT Rep today. As of now, they have only two ***** for the 05 but are working on others. He said they would do a custom **** (color/shift pattern/logo) for an extra $5.00 and three weeks time.

OK guys I talk to him yesterday and he is willing to start making them in a few days. Give me till monday to sort out all the little things like shipping, price, how to pay etc. Also I have more pics of the **** so you guys can get a better look at it. Between work and the snow we just got yesterday I haven't been able to post them yet I should be able to get to it tonight or later today. Then on monday i'll have all the particulars.

Start thinking what you would want on the top or any custom design you can come up with. You can even come up with a whole new **** if you want all I need is measurments.
