Does your buddy have the capability to annodize these? A matching red for the red leather interiors would ROCK!

Also, how about keeping the **** a ball?

Finally if not a ball, how about a 5speed pattern instead of GT? (may have been asked, sorry).

Thanks and I'm interested as well!

Peet

P.s. The heavier the better - it helps in shifting.

I'm interested as well. Simple GT on the top is all I'd need.

By the way 2 week lurker, 1st post. I must say of the 4 stang forums I frequent this one has the best signal to noise ration by far. Good times.

The shape as shown, with the gear shift layout etched in red, would be amazing with my ICAP IMO.

I'm definitely interested, especially if he can do that.

The more orders, the lower the price should be guys. He did that one for the topic poster for $80 as a one off production. Usually it gets cheaper when you don't have to program the machine again, etc.

In that aspect though, maybe we all need to agree on a design for the top and call it a day. If not, maybe $10 extra gets you a design you want, or maybe he can just make like 5 designs to choose from.

you should have him start up a PayPal Account.
then he would get paid and have our address to ship to, and just enable the ups option and they will come and pick them up.

Im cool with the GT logo on top. clean and simple. (I think the last time I looked at the shifter for shift positions was when I leaned to drive a stick when I was 15.

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you guys earlier, work has been very hectic lately. Sorry I haven't gotten those pics up for you guys but I haven't had a day off in about 2 weeks. I talk to the guy and he should be ready to make them in about a week. He still hasn't gotten back to me on the pricing yet. It will probably be a little higher for shipping costs. I will let you know as soon as he lets me know. As for engraving on the top. He can engrave anything you want...GT.....Shift pattern....anything. I'll have to ask him if he can annodize them that would be pretty cool Also I think there was a mention of just a ball with no engraving on top yes he can do that as well. Thanks for everyones patience.

AhhDrJones thanks for reposting my pics.

I would like to order one too. A solid ball is my choice. Can you tell me
what the diameter is?

Let me know how and when to order.

Thanks,
Dan

Sweet, look for some company (cough cough UPR) to copy your design and sell it.

Definitely the best looking shifter **** I've seen for the '05. Sure beats the ol' stollen cue ball/drill press/5-minute epoxy set-up! This will be my second mod when I get my '06. (Steeda lower control arms will be first).

The **** looks great, but I'm just thinking about those cold mornings when you get in the car and go to shift and the **** is freezing cold.

Edit: Not to mention days that are hot and the sun is shining into your car for a few hours straight. Aluminum has high heat conductivity and the **** will likely burn you and will stay hot for a while. I am more about funtion over formality. And although the aluminum **** looks really cool, I'd be curious to know if it would have problems actually being used on a daily basis.

Having had a similar **** on my bmw I can state that the aluminum stinks heat and cold up like it's going out of style! Winter freezing, summer frying. The added heft to the top of the lever (physical, not shift lever) makes shifting much smoother though and was worth the annoyance. But if this could be made out of some other material that isn't as highly conductive, it may be better in the long haul. Stainless?

Peet

P.S. to AhhDrJones... I never look at the shift pattern either but I don't want the GT lettering. Perhaps I'll do my own design. Although the H pattern would be good for when my wife has to (GASP!) drive my car.

I feel your pain there. Mine has about 5 minutes behind the wheel.

I have a solid titanium ****. Yes, in the winter it is a little cold the first few minutes, but nothing intolerable. In the summer on a really hot, sunny day, it can be a little shocking on the first grab. You feel like the **** in Raiders of the Lost Ark, expecting to look down and see the top of the **** branded on your palm! It actually isn't that bad. Not bad enough to keep me from getting a solid aluminum ball for my '05, at least.
