BLUETOOTH
I plan on getting this option, so I asked my dealer to let me know when they have installed one of these units on a car, because I dont want to buy it before I know it works with my phone. May not matter though, i might be switching to another carrier to get the RAZR phone, and I would guess that it would have no troubles working with it then. Will keep you updated if anything happens...

yes, but i have the verizon bluetooth phone, which does not work with a lot with computers or pda's. I just would not want to spend $500 putting a mobile-ease system in without making sure that it works.
I have a v600 as well. But I like my bluetooth head set. Listening through the car speakers would be odd...especially since I am doing anaftermarket system. Can you imagine talking in 1300watts? Hope the person doesn't cough...might blow the subs. HAHAHA.

I definately could use the bluetooth option and remote starter, such a pain with the manual tranny but it beats running out in the middle of the night to start the car and then running back into the house while it warms up.

You must be refering to the '05 stangs specifically right? Because remote starters ARE available for other manuals!

Bluetooth is bluetooth. If your phone is bluetooth capable, it should work with any headset, car unit, etc.

Rule of thumb is that if you have an A-brand bluetooth phone you're best of with a bluetooth carkit of the same brand. They will run you around $200-250 on average (not installed). Using i.e. a Motorola phone on a Sony Ericsson kit will probably work, but might not operate all features.
Also be aware that there are two different bluetooth "profiles", called handsfree and headset. Almost all bluetooth car kits only work with "handsfree" profile. There have been phones out (most older HTC models for example) that only had the headset profile and did not pair with car kits.
My phone is built by HTC, it's a great phone but the bluetooth implementation is still incompatible with the official implementation of the A-brands. I got it to work on my Siemens Bluetooth car kit (which is great), but it doesn't display caller ID, signal strength or carrier. Still a nice kit and a lot cheaper than the one Ford is offering.

If you consider Ford's kit I would recommend you check out which phones it is compatible with up front. If you get it installed and it doesn't work it might turn into a costly frustration...

I had an alarm system with remote start for a manual transmission, but you had to do a sequence before exiting the car, if not the remote start would be disabled, for security purposes, you had to put it in neutral and to not press the brake, and not open the door until you had shut of the car, or something like it, but it is available for manual transmissions.
i was looking for a remote starter for my old 89 mustang w/manual very hard to find and very very expensive I got 3 prices all around 1100 bucks compared to 193 for a auto tranny I said forget it I can walk out to my car in 0 degrees
