Thumbs up

I ordered my 2005 Premium GT in Sonic Blue with light graphite interior the other night. I love this car. I can't wait to get mine.

The 2005 Mustang Brochure has a picture and short description of a bluetooth option added by the dealer for handsfree cell phone operation. Has anyone seen this? It costs $500. Can someone post a picture of it afer installation? Is it worth the money?

Don't let any dealer do electronics options. Their mechanics are butchers with this stuff. Go to an in-car electronics specialist, get better help, better choice and probably a better price too!

I'm pretty sure the bluetooth doesn't change the "appearance" of the Shaker system. Save for a call button that is added. Other interesting dealer installed options include a remote starter and temp/direction gauge on the rear-view mirror

I am also... Namely the bluetooth and remote start! I really would like the remote start so I can get the car warm and defrosted in the winter while I'm getting ready in the morning. I'm late for work so often because of that.

I definately could use the bluetooth option and remote starter, such a pain with the manual tranny but it beats running out in the middle of the night to start the car and then running back into the house while it warms up.

The Bluetooth thingy is on the back of the '05 brochure I got from the dealer. It is a valid option...as well as keypad, stripes, chrome Bullits with spinners.

I really wanted that Bluetooth option. However, when I realized it was going to cost $685 from my dealer...I told them where they can shove it. They are already making all that money off me...no way! As much as I wanted the thing...I couldn't justify it...

I will be looking into a bluetooth option. I have a Motorola V600 with built in bluetooth. Anything to prevent me from damaging my new car.

$685? The two parts, unit + harness are about $400 and book calls for 1 hour installation. Should cost under $500 installed.

I think I remember seeing the Bluetooth is a $450 dealer option, they are marking it up a bit... I think all the extras I wanted (mirror, bluetooth, remote start) came in just under $1,000 total.

bluetooth is a good option,
I have it on my motarola RAZR and all i got is the headset,
The bluetooth for the new mustang is used by letting the driver listen throught the speakers of the car,
The headset is a little better cause it is only $80-$90 depending on the cell phone and it is on you ear so you can still listen to your music

ive used bluetooth, i use it on my Acer laptop and my cell to sync my contacts, i was just wondering if anyone has used the 05 Mustangs bluetooth through the speakers and if their impressions on it, i kinda want to stay away from the headset.
