Anyone buy the FRD04-AUX PIE Adapter from Crutchfield?

Crutchfield is a good $15 more than some other online retailers, but I keep hearing that their "mastersheets" and installation instructions are very good. Are the really worth the $15 extra, or can I get just as good info on these boards? I,m particularly concerned with how and where to connect the power wire and ground.

The info that come from PIE with the adapter is more than adequate for installation. Save your money.

There is also a thread on here with detailed installation instructions. I wouldn't pay the extra money... the PIE installation instructions were extremely clear.

I was able to install with no problem... and have no skill whatsoever

Don't know what problems he's had, but mine has been in six months (installed after the firmware update) and has performed flawlessly

Try Ebay, I got mine for $60. I wa having a problem with the radio not recognizing it after a week. I would disconnect the battery, and it would reset. I had to do this 2 times after install. But now I have gone over 3 weeks without a problem.
