2010 interior swap into 2007

As the title says. Just recently installed the 2013 door panels and they look great! Only PITA was wiring the switches. I have access to tons of wrecked s197s where I live, and I want to change out this whole dash. From some research, I have come across a few forums of people who have done the center console swap. I just bought the center console with ambient lighting but I don’t want to cut it up to fit yet unless it’s really difficult to do the entire dash swap. I was thinking about acquiring the harness from a 2010 and rerouting it so everything could be plug and play. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

also, I am sure to do a write up on this if I end up attempting it. I’m sure a lot of people would like that

There was another member that did the entire interior, dash included. But he also swapped the motor and all electrical harnesses and computer modules. In your case, you are not swapping all of that out, so the cluster and HVAC controls will not hook up and work properly with your old PCM and SJB. You could still use the dash, but you would have to use your old cluster. And then there is the issue of the controls for the HVAC ... you may need to just go with the console.

Using the 2010 harness I don't think will work either, as all your old computer modules still won't be able to communicate with your new HVAC and cluster.

But, hey, you can always experiment.
