I'm going to send another friend request Kevin, so I hope you'll accept it.. And I meant every single word of my apology straight from the heart, as yes you are and have always been useful more than you realize.. Like I said a moment ago, you're expertise was so sorely missed during the past 10+ years and despite the fact we still have some of the old timers, like myself on here.. We don't have nearly the same knowledge as you do when it comes to having over 30 years of experience as a Ford Dealership Parts Manager!

After Some Research on Above Topic I'm Going to Break the Seat Shield Retrofit Down Using Existing Part Numbers Available for the 2005-2009 and The Retrofit 2010-2014 Shields Which Fit Less all Color Options and Or Button Style 05 Early O6 Shields and 06-07 Possibly Some Early 08's Snap Style Shields. Basically you Have Drivers 6 Way Electric Seat Track or 4-Way Manual Seat Track Adjustment. On the Passenger Side you Have 6 Way Power or Manual. Part Numbers are as Current as Available Per Date.
These are My Fit Part Numbers and Your Local Dealer May Not Agree. {Use My Information at your Own Risk!} I'm Pretty Confident My Listings Will Fit as Described!
Thanks to Rocky & Sal For Getting me To Dig Deep on this Stuff!
SEE Post 35 & Others Show Various Styles. BUTTONS, SNAPS, MANUAL ADJUST & POWER!
I would Advise those with Camel Or Dove Interior To Replace With Both Sides Dark Charcoal If Possible for a Nice Contrast.
They All Physically Interchange By Seat Track. It is Just a Matter of Color and Snaps or Buttons or Lack There Of!
A Few Originals Floating on Ebay. Snap Part Numbers Begin with 6R3Z & Button Numbers are 5R3Z Prefix. All Others Will Be Without Either!

Just to update, it appears that 6R3Z-7662187-AC which I had sent back to FordPartsGiant.com was the correct part number after all which does in fact include the snap for attaching the seat strap on the 2006 S197 models... Needless to say, lesson learned the hard way!
Thanks For The Credit But a New Friend I Made on Ebay During a Message Center Switch Purchase Had Later Needed a Sight Shield and Asked For Some Help. After a Phone Call He Went With Later Shield I Suggested Button Retrofit. He Sent Pic After He Got New Shield. The Full Circle Effect! I Suggest Pop Rivet & Epoxy For Button Attachment. We Shall See!
Those two parts look like they are snap on/off...correct? I assume once I remove the seat level stuff? I ask bc I am very close to experimenting with carbon fiber skinning stuff and I am "eye-balling" this part as my first project.
Those Metal Clips GRIP Like The Dickens! Simply Pulling The Covers Off May Break Your Panel. The Clips Need To Be Pinched To Release. FORD Even Says Upon Removal To Replace Panel. So Be Advised. You May Have To Remove Seat to get Good Access! You May Figure Work Around But it Always Helps To See What You are Fighting!
Thanks KC, I have seen those type clips before...they actually rip the plastic off/out when attempting to remove....let me think about this one... ....BTW, I just saw the video on the first post...makes me wonder why Ford made this part so difficult to replace...ha...
