Cool - thanks!!
That is illuminated, the little vertical strip is backlit at night, and our fiber-optic will accomplish the same thing (it's kind of hard to laser-etch aluminum to become transparent like plastic)
So, no changes, and it looks as though we're good to go.

No problem! As we tool up the new machines and get the kinks worked out, we're hoping to really put a dent in the "plastic" syndrome on the cars, and do it what we feel justice rather than what is being done now - I've got some "covers" here that someone sent us, and they are just too bulky for my taste - sometimes less is more
BTW - I've been asked privately, and the simple answer is that the ***** have green lighting because that is what matches the dash in that area - but it's not out of the realm of possibility to do custom orders where we offer a few different color choices in the fiber optic. There is green, yellow, pink / red, and orange, in case anyone is interested in us looking at what that would cost.

Hmmm... I wasn't sold because of the whole disassembly thing, but if I can get Red fiber optics, then I may have to reconsider.
Besides if Marcello says its not that bad, I believe him. His directions are ALWAYS dead on.

Thanks - FWIW I have to give credit where it is due - Roush once sent us an intake system for my 73 Mach 1, and the directions were in a binder, something like 33 pages, photos, etc.. all before the big digital revolution. So I decided that if we ever started doing products of our own, that our directions need to be at that level to make sure it goes on without a hitch.
I've got a couple here with red F.O. in them already, just playing around - plus the radius inserts came in, so now the stalk is blended better to the body. All in all, looking good, just need machine time to run them now, and quotes for finishing should be here in a couple days.

Only way would be for them to be custom painted - we can't "double anodize" in two different colors (at least affordably), and so while it could be done, it would be a custom thing, not an off-the-shelf item.
HTH.
BTW, we start the production run either tomorrow or Wednesday. Looks like a few hundred sets to start, and then off for finishing after that. We're thinking about a polished and anodized finish (a dull shine), and triple-chrome as the two main options - we can match our current bead-blast finish, but I'm not sure if they look as good in that finish as the polished we just got back today... as a matter of fact I'm considering switching the bead blast for the polished/anodized combo - it is almost a dead ringer for the steering wheel trim accents, and looks nice without being "overbearing".

For anyone going to Myrtle Beach for Mustang week, you might want to peak inside our #05 car - there will be a set of polished A/C ***** set up and ready to go
Production is running, we're hoping that a few weeks and we'll get them done, finished, and ready to start going out.
Price is TBD yet, still waiting on some finishing quotes - everyone is too busy to want any more work right now...
(I had to add A/C to the above sentence to keep it wholesome entertainment for the whole family!!)

Any chance of some pics installed in the car? Or was that the one you already posted?

No updates yet - machines are running other parts that we ran out of, so we have to wait to finish the run of these before they can go off for finishing.
Group buy - sometimes we do a "pre-order" deal on TMS here, but on this item we're not looking at doing it, since the wait isn't long now. On our molded products where the lead time is 8 months or more we offer a discount normally, but this one is just one of those projects that needs time on the machines to be completed, not months of development work to get to the manufacturing stage.
