I have posted a few questions about stripes, after going thru the posts, and the photos, (adrenline, your stang is awesome), most of them have stripes. They look nice, but why do we buy them? Isn't part of being a "gearhead", being different. How many flame jobs are there on 57 chevy's, 32 ford's, and 49 mercury's. Granted they are nice, but now they are overdone. Even though we love the 66 hertz, gt 350, gt 500's. We cannot bring them back. I'd rather take the money spent on the stripes, and put it where it counts, under the hood.

To me certain colors look good with stripes and other don't. The blue with white and Yellow with black both look great.

Beats me, but I really like them. Something about being different from every other car...and I think tradition. I love comparing to the old Shelbys.

What type of dog are you? Seriously, your dog looks a lot like mine, and I'm wondering what breed it is.

By the way, that's one of the most clever photographs I have seen!

Thanks.

Glad you like my car. I have wanted stripes ever since I wanted this stang, but that was not just based on when I first saw the concept car. I have striped everything I own. Yes, I do want to be different and know that a lot of people are striping their cars, which is fine. I gotta admit, as soon as I see another one in town with the same stripes on it, mine will be coming off. I am working on a different design and until I like the finished product I am not going to change yet.

I am so striping Eleanor.
BUT I am going with 1970 Mach one stripes........as opposed to the Shelbys.

I pretty much hafta do something, I have a zip code twin and I am tired of getting mistook for them.
IE: Yesterday, I thought you didn't wash your car at the carwash- I saw you there......NO you DIDNT!

I think I was the first official TMS member to stripe the '05 and at the time I thought it was going to be different from everyone else.

I think the Black defineately looks better with stripes.

Yea but you raised the bar really high.........Those are some lovely stripes. Perhaps your mustang would like to spend the Winter down south?

There was a TMS member who posted pics of his striped 05 and it had pinstripining around the edge? Not a thin outline stripe, but different colored secondary stripe (maybe even a thick/thin pair of outlines).

Anyone remember that? Link to the pics?

I remember that link but don't recall the thread or have the pics. In my opinion it was nice and I thought about doing it.
