Where can I get a custom GT/CS stripe?
I ordered my 2008 Mustang GT in Grabber Orange on 5/26/2007 with the following options;
2008 Mustang GT Premium Grabber Orange
TR3650 5-speed Manual
Optional 3.55 ratio axle
18” Polished Aluminum wheels
Comfort Group
GT Appearance Package
Interior Upgrade Package (Satin aluminum Instrument Panel)
HID Headlamps
Ambient Interior Lighting
Active Anti-Theft
It will look identical to the the 2007 pictured below;
I want a to add the GT/CS side scoops and stripe. However, I do not want the "GT/CS" logo in the portion of the stripe that is on the fender. Does anyone know of a company that produces the stripe without the factory logo? I'm thinking not...

Check out the site I've listed below and see if they have anything you might think would work for you. The link below will take you to a solid lower side stripe and once you are there you can check out the rest of the site for more stripes that they have available.

I also belong to GT/CS Forum for the original 68's. One of the members has used the following company to have custom stripes made. Hope this helps.

Check Baltimore Street Mods:

Under "Style", click California. I'm pretty sure it is CS style door stripes. You can get them in any color with any lettering.

I just had a white fading side stripe put on mine. Here is a site that sells exact replacements for both GT/CS's and non CS's in different colors.

you have to go to the main page and look through the options not trying to be a jerk just letting you know, the above link takes you to the side stripe with the GT/CS cutouts

It's all good. Either one has what you're looking for. I initially thought about switching the black GT/CS door stripe for a silver one to match 10" silver le mans stripes I was thinking about putting on the new car. However, seeing that my car STILL hasn't arrived from Flat Rock, Michigan, I can't say for sure what I'm gonna do. My patience is almost completely gone.

No you will need to remove the old stripe and re prep the surface with alcohol (to remove any wax and residue) then apply the new stripe and let it adhere for at least a week before doing any washing with soap. You should also wait a month before waxing it (at least this is what I do). You can remove the stripe by taking a hair dryer and heating up the stripe, or just leave it out in the sun on a real hot day.

Glad to help

Tom,
Thank you Sir... I'll be waiting awhile for the strip job. I ordered an 08 GT/CS in Dark Candy Apple Red. I'm not sure if I'll see my car until 2008 at this rate! No information on a build date. Based on the strips that I saw on the website you provided, I thinking I'm going to change the black strip to silver... Thanks again for the info. Marty

As always I am glad to help, I hope the wait is not too painful for ya but once it's over you will forget all about it. Nice color choice from what I have seen it's like my vista, dark but when the light hits it it just goes red and nothing else.

Hi Joe, havent seen you in a while I trust your well.Yeah, Silver or white on blue is a hard choice for me as well. Though Ron I think you would really like silver on your red fire it looks great. I seen a red fire 427 R over the weekend with silver stripes and it looked great.
