My Canadian friend's '02 GT...
My brother's Bullitt is from Canada, I kinda like the mouldings on his.

(it actually was shipped back down to Arizona, where the original owner flew out, bought it, and drove it back to Va)

they totally ruin the lines on the car...IMO. a functional but ugly piece of plastic running the length of the car mid door level.

I'd like to see where they will place it and how it will look. I prefer it without but if done well, they won't look as bad as a dent or two.

Ya...body side molding is usually to break up the lines on a car and have the added "bonus" as door ding protector. On the Mustang though, I never thought it looked good. I do, however, like the body side molding on the current Corvette.

God I hate those mouldings. The first time I saw them on a car back in '99, I though it was just some crap that the owner had picked up at Canadian Tire and applied himself. Imagine my disappointment when I drove by a dealership full of 'Stangs, all wearing that crappy moulding. :bang:

Obviously a lot of Canadian owners agree with us, since I've seen fewer and fewer cars wearing them.

they were optional on my (canadian) 96 SVT Cobra and my 02 GT - declined both times - where i park - door dings dont happen

FWIW - if anyone is interested the option price is usually around $68 CND
