What is the diameter of the exhaust pipes?

Anyone know the diameter of the exhaust pipes on the 2005?

Is that an external diameter or an internal diameter? I know the material thickness is small, but it does make a difference for fitting pipes.

I think I read that the exhaust diameter is 2", so only the tips would be 2.5" diameter...a full 2.5" exhaust would open things up a little.

Mandrel bent 2.5" SS Exhaust.
Only thing you gotta change is the muffler/tip combo at the back.

That's music to my ears! It's going to be a toss-up between wheels and exhaust to be the first mod I make to this car. Either way, they'll both happen right away.

High flow cats and 2.5" mandrel bent stock is how Ford gained most of the extra 40 HP over the last model

clamp-on means easy swap

Hopefully Flowmaster sells a kit with the right bracketry and stuff.

I plan on drilling the stock muffler baffles first to see how that sounds. If the tone is not good, Magnaflows come next.
