Duplicolor has this new stuff called Car Art that lets you paint on your car and then wash it off. It's like their "Shield" spary-on front end bra, but comes in 5 colors.
It's a great way to do mods just to decide if you like it.
A few things to mention:
It recomends removal within 3 days.
This stuff is TOXIC!. I've worked with plenty of paints and this one almost knocked me out.
It claims it dries in one minute. Not true. the pic shows a tiny spot I flaked off while removing the tape. Also, the stuff came off the tape very easily. Got all over my hands, but it was very easy to wash off with soap.

Actually, I found out tonight it doesn't even take soap and/or water to get the stuff off. I was closing the truck and rubbed a little bit off by accident. Comes off VERY easily.
It might have something to do with the temp when applied. Recomends 50-80. It was probably 90.
Either way I LOVE the look so it won't be long before it's blacked out with vinyl or a magnet.

Dear Jason,
Since you are using the V6 rockers I suggest changing the "fake gas filler" and the side emblems to V6 as well. It takes a few minutes, some fishing line and a heat gun (hairdryer if your not great with a heat gun) and some McGuire's Cleaner Wax.
I really like your front facia and wheel choice as well. Your ride will be more bad@#! looking than mine when it's done, but I went the whole retro look and I'm pleased with the results.
One thing I would have added is the MUSTANG on the duck tail. I haven't seen any posts of your spoiler choice, or even if you're going with one, but keep me posted on your project.

I considered the fender and gas cap ponies before the car was even delivered. (I put the fender ponies on my '03 GT) For some reason I want to stick with the GT emblems this time though. Not going for a sleeper look or a retro theme. I just think the V6 rockers make the car look slimmer, which it desperately needed.
I originally ordered the car with the intentions of keeping it spoilerless to keep it looking like a 65/66 fastback. Then I decided I wanted a ducktail, but no one has made one I like. If I could combine the SSE & CDC spoilers, I'd have one, but since that's not possible, looks like I'll be staying spoilerless.
The exterior is almost done. Looks like I'll probably be going with a black-out panel and even though I've wanted blue LeManns stripes since before I ordered the car, I still haven't made up my mind to do them.
I would love to see more pics of your car!

It might just be the pictures, but to me it looks like you have some sort of black panel on the bottom of your rear bumper. Ive been wanting something like this forever! If im right and you do have one, where did you get it from?

Yes. Chuck's right. I painted that rear lip black. It's just a stock bumper cover.
An 86 year old man backed into my car a few weeks ago and put a big hole in the bumper. I knew the guy that painted the new one so I had him paint the lip too.
Sorry to disapoint you. The GT500 bumper should be available soon.
