Vinyl question

I was behind a stupid truck that had a tar thing in the back (I was staying some car lenths back) as soon as it stopped though it sprayed some tar on my car. Got it cleaned at a local place, but the tar left some spots on the vinyl, is there anything I can do to get rid of these spots? Or am I just screwed and have to get it redone?

Well stopped by the vinyl shop on the way home and he tried a couple things, but said it was no good. He told me that the petrolium (sp?) in the tar stains the vinyl and there really isn't anything that can be done. So I have to get my entire hood and front bumber redone.

He lives in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. Acid rain happens around most urban areas dude.

It won't protect against acid, but it does a pretty good job agains tree sap, bugs, etc. Pretty good shine too, as good as any other wax I've used. Lasts longer than any wax I've used as well.

It wasn't acid rain, it was a contruction truck with a barrel of tar in the back bed, and when he slowed down it spewed all over my car, by it looked like it rained on my car I meant thats how it appeared, not actually what happened

Try Vim the kitchen cleaner, it takes the black tire stains from dock bumpers off of a white gel coated boat like magic.
