Ok, it def has the horsepower to pull stuff. But what I want is a hitch to pull my small trailer that I haul music equipment with. That way I can drive the mustang and not have to let the lil' woman take it while I use her vehicle. She doesn't know how to drive a stick......

I would like to think you could get one of those flip license plate holders that are used on many older vehicles that had the hidden gas caps. Mount that to the bumper and have it setup so you would lift it, and there would be an opening for you to insert the hitch deal. The pull out piece of square metal that many trucks have.

Anyone seen anything like this?

Yes it is verry popular in the truch secene. Pick up a coppy of Truckin hat magazene and look through it there ae manny flip up plate kits in there for trucks that I am shure would work fine with little to no modification. Sorry about the spelling I just got back from a trip and am not thinking very well.

I'd hate to see what kind of trip you were on.

It's not so much that the car has the hp and torque to pull a trailer. The frame really isn't designed for it. I think the towing capacity listed by Ford is 1,000 lbs. If your trailer and equipment weigh more than 1,000 lbs I wouldn't do it. Would really hate to have your frame get messed up.

I got it too. I just have a small trailer that I haul my drums in. Not very big or heavy. I just can't get a double bass set in that little car!

Does anyone have a picture of a trailer hitch installed on an 05? I've seen the hidden hitch installation manual, but it's only a vauge illustration. No luck on google either. I'd like to see an actual picture of one installed before I end up with a road grader...would pay plenty of $$$ for a setup like this: http://www.autoaccessory4u.com/88chcktrstsc.html

I think hidden hitch has one. Don't laugh because I need to shop for one also. My wife has problems walking any distance and we have a scooter for her. I was looking to get one with a small enclosed trailer to haul the scooter and any luggage on trips.

There are small lightweight fiberglass body enclosed trailers that I think would be ok. You just would have to be very careful how much weight you put in them.

All the metal enclosed body trailers no matter how small are too heavy.

Hitches online has one $89.95.
