Tire Q's for 2005RedGt
Bryan,
I measured my rear fender lip to the ground and it's 29".
Your new tires are 29" tall compared to the stock 27", you gained 2", so i would think that would have helped fill the gap in the wheel well. But, when i look at your wheel and tire photos, it seems like you still have a big gap after putting your new wheels and tires on.
Anyways.... when i look at my car, it looks like all i would need to gain is 2" in tire size and i wouldnt have to lower it. But your car proves that theory wrong!
I dont understand.

Well, he would of actually only gained an inch on the wheel well, he gained an inch between the axle and the top of the wheel well and gained an inch between the axle and the ground.

But even with a 1" gain the gap should look better then stock, No?
In the pictures it looks like the gap is bigger then the stock gap on my car?
Has anybody measured the rear wheel well? mine is 29" from fender lip to floor.
maybe it's the angle the car is at. Won't know until he replies but I am sure that the gap he has should be close to 1" smaller than the stock gap. Just looked out the window at mine and looks like I have a bigger gap than his car.
Also Bryan......
You have a 27" tall tire in the front and a 29" in the rear. How does that effect your speedo? is the speedo based off the front tires? or did you compensate your speedo in your tune?
I take it your gearing is good with having 4.10's, even with a 2" bigger tire out back.
Thanks.

After seeing the car up close I can tell you there is VERY little room in there to speak of....here's a different shot....angle of the drive may be making it look a bit off as well....on even concrete this past weeekend it looked like an even smaller gap to me then in this photo....
