Hey Guys, I'm looking to hear from someone who did the front shelby bumper conversion and USED the OEM Ford GT500 Crash isolator.....
Did you get a 2nd small isolator (same as GT small isolator) and did you use it? If so WHERE??? I contacted K/C today and he seems to think there may be a cataloging error, The shelby front end lists it as a part and pictures it as well, however there is no place to puzzle piece it in, it looks as if it is an error and not needed..... the Shelby large bumper isolator is different than that of the V6 and GT, just wondering if anyone else noticed this..... Kevin and i seem to think i can use this as a pool toy now What did you do? Thanks.... Dave

The Base and GT isolator comes in two pieces
a long one that's the "Lower Outer isolator" and a small one on top that locks it in place, and it's the "Upper center inner isolator"

the GT500 has one isolator that fills in for both items above, and you can clearly see it in the attached diagram

check parts 10 and 11 on the Base and GT diagram
and check part 11 on the Shelby GT500 diagram

That's what i was looking for...... it appears there is a diagram for the Shelby Gt500 that actually shows the small isolator is used in the GT500 application, I called K/C yesterday and he saw the same thing..... Must be an old misprint! Thanks for the info! It puts my mind at rest with this issue.... Looks like i have a small pool toy now!
