Super Snake hood

I'm trying to gather as many people as I can that want the Super Snake hood. I know most are very excited about the KR hood and I am too, however, I want the Super Snake hood instead. I have pm'd Phil and he'd like to know what kind of interest there is in another GT500 hood so let me know. Thanks.

I just ordered a Super Snake Hood directly from Shelby Performance, what's the big deal?

I think the price tag is the big deal! Way overpriced... but if you have the cash, kudos to you

$1400 for a hood is steep if you ask me. I desperately want that hood though. Guys are talking about spending $4500 before all is said and done with that hood, and I personally can't afford that much for a hood.

If the hood was flawless and I mean flawless like ready for paint 1400 wouldn't be a bad deal. But sounds like it isn't. I would be interested in seeing pics of a "raw" hood

Trufiber, Cervini's or one of the other aftermarket hood makers will release a carbon copy of the hood in the $500-$600 range at some point. Its almost a guarantee. Take a look at how many aftermarket hoods for the 05s+ there were just 24 months ago compared to now.

The problem is, the GT500 market is more limited than the GT market for hoods, cause there isn't as much demand as of now, at least that's how it's been explained to me. Trufiber said if I could get 15 to 20 people committed to buy an SS hood in a group buy they'd make it, so who's in?

You realize this thread is from a couple years ago, and Trufiber already has their version of the SuperSnake style hood out? It's called the Venom II:

Wow, lol... Should have looked at the date.. Question, is this hood only for GT500's? I have a 2007 Roush, can I put it on my car?

They do have the GTS-4 for the non-GT500 bumper.

It's more based on the KR hood, but pretty similar:
