Thanks! Yes Shelby stripes are actually vinyl, I was surprised about that at first but understand why it's done now. Lets just say painting them would probably add 2-3K to the sticker price of the car.

I'm think of going with vinyl stripes. What the best place to buy them? And I think that since I hardly drive my car they will be fine and Won't crack or fade for awhile

I've used a couple of places and had good experiences with both.

http://www.hiprographics.com/
http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/

There are some other good ones out there too, just do a search.

I like the Baltimorestreetmods stripe option but they don't have the gt 500 spoiler as an option for their stripe package :/

Sure he does... I had them on mine. Maybe just needs an email or special instructions.

Alright, I'll have to call them. I like the super snake stripe with the wide middle stripe and the two smaller ones beside it

I had to go to CA this week on business and I'll be headed back home tomorrow, I will not be picking the car up until Saturday at this point. I'll be sure and post some closeups so y'all can see how they came out. They had to redo the hood due to an alignment issue but if it comes out with the same quality and finish as before I'll be extremely pleased. Wish me luck!

Can't wait to see the final pics!

I just ordered my alloy metallic vinyl from HiPro Graphics. I got 10 inch alloy metallic stripes as well as some GT350 rocker panel stripes on the order.

Well guys here are a few pictures I snapped out at the MCA (Mustang Club of America) Nationals Show in Mesquite, TX this past weekend. I'm thrilled with how everything turned out, they did a fantastic job! I even landed a 1st place in the modified class along with Pegasusphototx.

I wasn't able to get any really good pictures of the bay due to the sun, but all the covers turned out just perfect and pulls everything together in the engine bay. I’ll post up some more detailed pictures later if anyone’s interested in seeing more, but I think you get the idea.

Tim,

Did you get your rocker panel stripes from Hi Pro Graphics put on yet? If so, can we see some pics?

Just confirming....the colour of your stripes are alloy metallic??

I just received my alloy metallic racing stripes and GT350 rocker panel stripes from them the other day.....but it is probably not warm enough yet for me to put them on where I am living.

Sure did and they turned out great! They are slightly lighter then the painted ones but nothing obvious and unless they are right next to each other you'd never know it.

Very nice! Did you put the rocker panel stripes yourself? Are they hard to put on?

Is that the alloy metallic colour?

Yes that's the Avery alloy metallic color, and yes I installed them myself. I did the original lemans stripes too and have done several sets of rockers for family and friends. It's not difficult at all, just make sure you follow the directions and take your time and remember its just vinyl and easily replaced if you mess something up!

When you say not difficult....are you referring to the Lemans stripes or the rocker panel stripes.....or both?

Any words of wisdom before I take on this job?

Good tip...yes if I screw up....it could easily be replaced. Hi Pro Graphics sent me the extra material I needed for my GT500 spoiler....but it does not have any transfer paper. What did you find was the best way of doing the GT500 spoiler when you did your Lemans stripes?
