I've read the SHR instructions and you feed the wire in through the hole made close to the retaining pin right?

Then someone has to be on the inside of the car pulling the wire in and then you pull the wire out from the outside right? Back and forth sawing method.

Or are you saying you use the wire with just you pulling it from the outside, how does that work.

Sorry just having a brain lock on this. But then I have not gotten to the point of getting the louvers and trying to install. Just trying to visualize this before hand.

Thanks
What your doing is not working from the inside at all... Rember close the door and stay outside.LOL

Get the wire and wrap it from top to bottom, between the glass and the body.slide the wire behind the the front edge of the glass from top to bottom, now start sawing the wire . pulling top and now bottom, now top and now bottom. you are pulling the wire from the front edge of the window[by the door] towards the back of the window glass[ by the trunk lid] . this is cuting the seal behind the window.
I hope this helps.

I plan to purchase these as my next mod after my CAI. I completely understand how you did yours from outside but I have just one question. Did this scratch up your glass at all?

Same here. Only thing that would worry me would be the uninstallation of the louvers themselves being plastic and all.

The uninstallation was a little more of a challenge. I had mine painted by a shop when they first came out. After painting them 3 times, i finaly just took them and put them in. They bubbled, where the guy didnt mask off, peeld where i buffed the paint he sprayed on the clear parts. Need less to say i replaced them with the same louvers, but diffrent painter. Looks great now and no more paint troubles.
