Side quarter Scoops

I’m considering purchasing Side Quarter Scoops from DG Custom Auto .
https://www.dgcustomauto.com/display...&categoryId=81

Anyone already have them, and if so, would you recommend them ? Pics would be appreciated .

Thanks

John I got my louvers from them, they are a sponsor of the forum so mention that when you order. They did a great job with the louvers and I've heard lots good about them.

I would not buy them they are not the right size. Try the CDC.

Ron, thanks for the reply. I got my window louvers from them also.

Tazman52, What do you mean "not the right size "? Also, I just checked the CDC website and they don't have quarter side scoops , only saw quarter window scoops .

I have a pair of factory SGT/CS scoops that I'm not going to use. Brand new in the box. Let me know if you're interested.

I think what Rich is saying, that at the bottom curvature, they do not fit to the seam of the C design. I felt the same way. I got the 3D Carbon ones. They are the Manufacturer of the GT/CS ones for Ford. The only thing I din't like is the chingy decal they give you for the front of them. That is not a hard fix though, and am in process of that right now. But the fitment is perfect.

Rob,
PM me price including shipping by USPS to Montreal Canada. Are they pre-painted or raw ?

Dave,
Thanks. When I zoom in on the pic, I can see what you mean. Where did you pick up your 3D carbon ? Were they pre-painted? If not, what did it cost you back to have them painted ? What's your fix for the decal ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback .

Just as you are doing with Rob. I got mine from TMS member Burke0011.
my fix is just another overlay. But, this time with exact measurements. Also trying something a little different, instead of Black or Carbon Fiber look, I am doing the HoneyComb to match my Hood Scoop and Grille. If it comes out as good as it looks on the computer graphic I had done, I'll also add SHR's Rear Panel. I'm also not happy with the Xenon Panel I have back there now. Once again a fitment issue.

Side Scoops

John,
I gave you the wrong information. The side scoops you were asking about are too small and I said get the CDC it was not the CDC Scoops but the 3D Carbon that I have, got them off e-bay painted for 259.00. The 3D carbon will fit great and fit better than the ones you are asking about.

sorry for the screw-up on my part.

Tazman52,
I figured that was the brand that you meant . Ordered 3DCarbon off Ebay ( Sportwing ). $245 painted + $20 shipping to Montreal. Have been installed since last Friday. Quality product and paint job, and great fit!

Thanks for the advice and follow-up. Much appreciated .

Old thread but wanted to stick my comments to somewhere related.

One of my DG Custom Auto side scoops flew off my ride on the highway going about 65MPH at the time. Probably due to a bad install by self, but I wasn't real happy with the non-flush fit and shaky alignment of the DGCA piece so I'm replacing with 3DCarbon from ebay seller Sportwing (just like above) for about $235 shipped.

I think the only downside is the 3DCarbon comes with the cheap decal-style grille.
Anybody have an exact solution for upgrading that to a plastic insert? That was one nice thing about the DG Custom Auto pieces... but, now I only have one of those grille puppies in inventory 8(
