Have you seen this anywhere?

OK....time to pick the group's collective mind!

Here's the scenario:

I like the blacked out grille look. Right now, I have the Agent 47 grille in my 07 Alloy GT. The Agent 47 grille is a great grille...well made...fits wonderfully...free flowing. The problem with this grille, is that when you get down eye to grille level, you can see straight through the mesh to the horn, aluminum radiator, etc. Kind of ruins the blacked out grille effect that I was going for. I know I could relocate the horns and try to paint the front of the radiator, but I'm not to high on this option and would only do it as a last resort....I'd rather find a grille out there, to pop right in.

Now, I know that Classic Design makes makes a black billet grille. I've seen several of these installed, as well as the black billet grille on the Roush Trak Pak. I really like the blacked out effect that this grille gives....but....I want to keep the inboard fog lights. I like the look of the fog lights. I emailed Classic Design to see if they might be thinking of producing the black billet grille, with the inboard fog lights....they replied that they don't have anything along those lines in development right now. They were very nice to email me back in a timely manner.

Cervini makes a billet grille, with the inboard fog lights that would be just perfect....but they don't offer it in black...only in bright aluminum. I emailed them yesterday, to find out if a black billet grille with inboard fog lights might be coming down the road or if there is any way I could get one done this way. I haven't heard back from Cervini yet, but it's only been a day.

So, my question to the group is, has anyone seen or know of where I can get a black billet grille that keeps the inboard fog lights? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for any replies!

Cervini has one? Really? haven't seen it. Why not get it and just powdercoat it black?

It's not that hard to relocate the horns or black-out the rad support. No parts needed to relocate the horns, and no wiring mods needed. You just need to modify your stock horn bracket and it's no biggie. If you're mind's made-up, then ignore me. But here's a pic to show you how it looks all done.

I would say that if the Cervini's grill is the look you want, buy that and have it powdercoated black. Shouldn't cost more than $30-$50 for just that bit, especially with the part being new.

For those asking for a picture:

I don't remember who it was, but someone on here put one of those grills on and then mounted the fog lights behind it.

I'm not sure who makes it, but there was a feature car in 5.0 Mustang last summer that had a black out grill that I really wanted. Here is a pic:

I say make the A47 grille work -- I like the fogs wider.

You are looking for the same thing I am. I mentioned that on another thread. I don't like the mesh look of the agent 47. I want a black grill with horizonal lines and the fog lights for a GT. I have found them for a V6, but not for the GT.

I did find ann ebay auction for the grill, but it includes the halo lights. I figured I could remove the halo portion. I asked this vendor a question last week, but no repsonse yet.

Here is the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...238354207&rd=1

Just don't turn the halos on and problem solved... the fog lamps would look exactly the same.

Well, I finally solved my problem, by removing the Agent 47 grille and painting the condenser, radiator, horns and hood latch bracket that could be seen through the grille, with a satin black paint. I used several light coats, instead of one heavy one, to make sure that I didn't plug any of the fins in the condenser or radiator. I'm pretty confident, that I won't have any cooling problems. Reinstalled the Agent 47 grille and now it looks perfect...exactly the blackout look that I was going for!
