Who in SOCAL has had it done? Did you install yourself? Or at a shop? Which one? How much to install? Were you happy with the work?

Did it myself. Not very hard, but time consuming. I have to redo mine, I have a small leak from one side, but would do it again in a heartbeat. I'm in north San Diego county.

HEAT UP THE SEALANT OR HAVE SORE FOREARMS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any specific questions you have on the install method we have posted on our site that I can help answer for you? We've got another install scheduled for next week - been doing them quite regularly here, and the job is about 1.5 hours if you know where you're going with it without rushing at all.

The install isn't too bad if you have the right tools / supplies.

Checkout the link in my sig. There is a gallery in there with some pics from my install.

You Guys install? I don't see it on your site.
If so, I would have bought from you,(I live in N. Fl.)instead of buying factory louvers.

It's not an advertised thing since we have grown our manufacturing operation to the point where we just don't have any room inside anymore. So until we move into a bigger building, we've been doing installs like this outside in our parking lot. Not exactly the ideal situation, but we do it to try and help people out that don't want to go hunting all over for insallation. I just did a 2005 today from S. FL. that had the "stick on" style, got everything off safe and clean, so you could always sell them on eBay after the swap

When we expand again (not if, just when), we'll have a lift and full setup for maintenance of our race car, show cars, and of course doing customer installs.

Mellow - looks nice! I am very surprised at the OE urethane seal on your car, I've never seen one that thin / poorly laid out on the front edge. Looks like the new bead laid down definitely was much better! I never tried to lay the bead on the louver - interesting thought... I always laid the bead on the car and then "dropped" the louver in place.

Now all you need to do is have the seams filled in and it would be perfect!!!

Believe it or not, actually having seen them "shaved" in place with the seam line removed, they (IMHO) don't look correct. The vents really would need to be about 30% larger if you remove the outer line, and of course that requires just hacking the entire opening for a fit. With the seam gone and the vents left the same size, they end up looking too small for the quarter panel.

Of course, as always, YMMV

The solution is a GOOD gun. When I was doing them with the cheapie 5.00 caulk gun you use around the house for silicone, I was hating life too and having difficulty keeping a consistent thickness. For some reason, I decided to give a good gun from HD a try, cost about 15.00, but made the job absolutely enjoyable. I can actually squeeze it with two fingers and rotate as needed to keep a continuous bead going on the car. I keep it hidden in the shop so that it doesn't get used for sealing a coolant pan or something silly and get lost!

Haha! I'll definitely be buying a good gun the next time I do it!

I agree. I had photoshopped that a while back, and it just wasn't right. The vents are too small.

No, T8 is not a very popular color (anymore), so unless an order comes in for a set, we don't paint any. When we do get an order, we'll paint 2-3 sets at once, but honestly I wouldn't be holding my breath - I'd just place the order and then know that they are being done for you. Lately there have been a lot of black sets, and of course we're preparing in case we get the tap for the 2011 Cobra Jets, as that takes a lot of effort to get them all ready for Ford Racing.
