Just doing a Cobra conversion and ordered parts through a Ford dealer. Having trouble locating a part number for the 10 flanged spoiler bolts. Have a number W302597 which seems to be incomplete. I know that some thread posters are loyal to their supplier, but for me to order from them and ship to Canada would be cost prohibitive as to freight and broker charges. So, I ordered from my Ford dealer in the US and will drive the 130 mi to pick up and pay the $60.00 or 70.00 taxes at the border and save a bundle. If anyone can help me with the part number for the bolts, it would be appreciated.
I have installed a Mazda Homelink mirror, temp and compass, and assisted others with theirs and I believe these forums are useful to help each other and not become exclusive grounds to sell.

06 Gt, Tungsten, C.&L., Brenspeed 91, plenum cover, Homelink mirror with Temp and Comp. -
so far.

That is the Correct Part Number it has no Suffix. They Are Badly Backordered. You Can Substitute Something else if Needed!

Here is a pic of the Spoiler hardware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Should Help!

Oh Btw I would be the First one to tell you that Shipping These Big Parts to Canada would not be Cost effective. I always try to save the TMS People a Buck! Good Luck with your Install.

Thanks very much 05stangkc, appeciate it. Will pass on the info to the Ford dealer. If not readily available then the photo will surely help me substitute something. Looks like the J-nut's beside on the photo. If I get any inquiries regarding my changeover, I'll mention availabilty of parts through you.

Thanks again

Is that the bolt that holds the splitter to the bottom of the bumper? If so I used Fourteen 1/4" x 1.5" bolts with a washer on either side and a nut. Works like a champ and it only cost $5-6 vice the $80 for the "factory parts"

Been away, yes that's the ones. Will look into using these bolts if other ones take take too long as dealership used another computer and located the bolts via the number earlier provided. Actually, I went and picked up the front end parts minus the bumper cover and radiator sight shield which may come by the middle of Sept. Had so many boxes in the motorhome, that I didn't find the broken clip on the bumper (lower) grille until I was almost home. Phoned dealer and he will order another. Not having the bumper, I couldn't play with it to see if I could make it work or repair it without replacement.
One thing that does look daunting is the wiring harness 7R3Z14290EA. Maybe after studying old and new and some research, it may not be too bad. I think I read somewhere here that some splicing was required, but by the time the cover and missing parts arrive, hopefully I'll have a handle on it. Thanks for the help provided.

Oh, and I also got 10 bags of N800947S301A screws. 10 screws in each bag. 100 screws. Seems a little much for 8 bucks - will find out if this was an error.

I'm currently in the process of developing a wide body model for this years SEMA. I'm having issues finding the munting brackets next to the light bezzels. Anyone have an extra set of these or know a location that currently has these. Ford stats their all back ordered.

Hmm, the Shelby front bumper install seems like a no-brainer mod for the Shelby GT and even the GT-H once they start hitting the market after their service in rental fleets is done. In fact, a fairly tired GT-H that needs a bit of paint anyway would provide the perfect excuse for this......and a 6-M conversion as well for that matter.

Great looking conversion! Looks great fully realized with the wheels, spoiler delete and steeda hood.

Definitely gives me pause. This is a great looking mod, I also like the Roush front end and the Cervini B series updates. Decisions, Decisions...

Just plain WOW. This mod has just moved to the top of the list of what front to go with. I was weighing heavily to the Shelby CS6 front but this is rocking. I especially love how yours actually doesn't look like a GT500 with your other mods. To me it looks like the 05 concept more then a GT500.

Nice job!

OK, just one more question. From the pics it looks as though you could retain the stock hood and still have that GT500 fascia mate up with it.
Is that right?

The actual GT500 hood has a little different curve in the front lip that matches the angled struts or what ever you call them. The things inboard of the headlights.

Yea Northwest it works. 2L8 has the Steeda crowl hood (if you didn't read it) and he says it actually fits a little better then the stock.

That is true, there is a little more room between the undside of the hood and the bumper posts. The angles are a little off, but not enough for me to worry about it. People are so busy trying to figure out what is going on they don't pick the car apart.

Went to the Fun Ford Weekend in Chandler AZ to see some very nicely made up Mustangs and spoke with someone from OE Pros.

They've had the opportunity to do two bumper conversions and told me that they had to create custom fittings to make this conversion work. Otherwise it looks 'off'. Not sure how this plays into your conversion. But just was curious about your response to this?

I think that it's BS. Mine doesn't look "off" but I could see a new upper mounting bracket that moves the bumper up rights a little, but then that would throw off the grill.

There are MANY people that have done this conversion without any hokus pokus parts and have all turned out great!!!

running light question

Can you use the original GT running lights and lenses or are the Shelby ones different?
