I think you guys are crazy paying what you are for them. The mark up is way way way to high. They will keep charging out the yahoo if you guys keep paying it. Wanna pay $50 for a can of soda too?
Yaaa it tastes great, can looks good, etc etc but the mark up just aint worth it.
>$6 in parts...?

To play devil's advocate for a minute: It doesn't matter how much it costs to make, only how much people think it's worth. Point is, people seem very happy with the product and the service. They seem to love the outcome. They don't seem to feel that they are paying too much... so they aren't.

Ya knowwwwwwwwwww....... Funny u should ask.....

My brother does Electronics on Planes.
I will ask him about it when he comes and visits next time.

I understand you guys dont mind paying that, I just think the mark up is totally outrageous for what it is.

Flame me if you must!! Go on....I can take it.

i can not complain at all ! i got the splice in kit and i got rid of the wire nuts and splice connectors. instead i soldered and heat shrink tubed (with mastik lined tubing). quick simple painless. webbelectric was quick to ship and the kit was well thought out, great instuctions.

Hey Bob. So, put this in another comparison. People are paying over $200.00 just for vinyl stripes, not installed, just the vinyl. You want to talk about markup, the material itself only costs $50.00 if you go with metallic 2 mil.

Edit: People are in the business to make money and people are willing to pay for the service. Do I have the skills to make my own sequential lights? Probably, but the time and aggrevation it takes for me to figure it out is not worth it. Same goes with stripes. People are willing to pay me to install them because they don't want to screw things up. I had no problems paying $180.00 for the sequential lights. Do I know what parts are in it, no and I don't care to know. I am happy with the way they work. If I sat down and though about markup on everything I bought I would end up trying to make everything myself. Microsoft was the first to release the Optical mouse. It sold for $99.00 US. It only cost them $0.60 cents to make it. Everything in life has a markup. If it didn't everyone would be out of business.

Flame a Texan? Are you nuts? I thought I read somewhere about a new Federal law stating "Don't mess with Texas"...

Anyone try the alternative ; SignalWave Sequential Tail Light?

I've been e-mailing Brian because the 2005 is not listed on the site.
I'd like to find out if anyone else has actually tried this product/solution?
Nobody has commented yet on these, but they seem to have a few advantages over the webelectronics.

There are some happy guys on eBay for $55....??
e-mail the feedback guys and they will tell you about it.

This is just one thing that irks me.
Makes me feel like learning how to do it and do it myself.
I dont understand why people dont do this and undercut
the gougers out here.

Seems like an expensive monopoly right now.
I know how happy you are but how happy would you be
with the same thing at $49?

I think the product is cool and I would like it but I can
not for the life of me pay half what Webelectrics charges.

Then again....why in the world did Delphi put a button on the radio
for your ipods or satelite radios and not make a harness to access it?

Whoever decides to sit down and do that will also corner the market.

I would just like to see some healthy competition here.

a few weeks back some people tried to buy cheaper kits, but they didnt fit the 05s. so the guy didnt charge them or ship them.
on e-bay it doesnt show an 05. and I believe his feedback are from earlier models of mustangs.
the 139(after rebate)I paid for from webelectronics was worth every penny to me.

I agree with you Kevin. It's a cool mod and I loved how easy it was to put on. It's perception of value. I'm absolutely wild about Starbucks mocha's, and have no problem paying close to $4.00 for one. But when I go in a conveinence store and see a pack of cigarettes for like $4.00 I think OMG, I'm glad I don't smoke! If it is worth it to you, then thats all that matters. Besides, we are helping an American businessman and boosting the economy!
