Sequential Taillights: Can they be a problem with dealer?
I've been getting condensation in my left taillight, and its been there for a while now. I visited the dealer about a month ago and told them about the problem, and they said they'd order a new taillight and replace it under warranty.
I just woke up this morning and remembered that I have sequential lights installed on my car. This was done at a local shop, and for those who have done this installation, you know the harness that has to be installed.
My question is, will the dealer give me a hard time about my sequential lights since they will be replacing the right side taillight? They will obviously see the box/harness, but will they/can they say anything?

I'd check to make sure that all the bulbs are clicked and closed into place, that could be the reason being that its getting condensation it it. The guy who put them in probably didnt click one of the bulbs closed all the way on the tailight.
I've already been to my dealer twice for service checks after installing my sequentials and he's never complained about them, even though his people did check the entire lighting, among other things.
My car is a grey import and I don't enjoy the full Ford warranty, but that's never a problem with any of my mods. My dealer was okay with all of them, even though I'm on his dealership's warranty.
So no, you shouldn't worry about your dealer noticing the changed wiring harness.
