I installed the We Electric's in my 06 took a little while but I chose to solder all my conections and also wanted my brake lights to operate properly, unsequentencing. I had to remove the rear seat not a big deal and lift carpet to run wires again not a big deal. Also had some questions about the kit and e,ail web electric they got back to me within hours.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WEB-ELECTRIC...check e-bay for deals

Why is there a $50 difference between Webelectrics "plug-n-play" and the "splice-in" kits? Both have gotten reviews of being easy to install, and they do the same thing, so what's the justification for the more expensive version? What's the downside of the cheaper one? And why is it cheaper on ebay than from their website directly? (Webelectrics in both cases.)

I don't know why the price is cheaper on eBay. I got my kit there. Some folks don't want to splice a new vehicle's wiring, so they prefer the plug n play wiring........

I did the splice kits on my 06 GT quickly and easily. I did the DRL module also, and I am happy with both installs so far.

You are paying for the harness, which you can send the OEM one back for a credit. I prefer that method and I kept my OEM harness incase I ever wanted to swap them back. Also here is another advantage, if there is a problem with the electrical system, and some members have had a problem, FORD can void the warranty because you cut into the factory wires. By replacing the harness, if you had a problem, you just remove the harness and they wouldn't know you did anything. $50.00 more is a pretty good insurance policy if you ask me.

I did the same thing but didn't have to remove the back seat or the carpet so I am not sure why you had to. Check out my blog.

I bought these:

Same thing, just cheaper.
Just FYI for those who only want a sequence on the turn signals and not on the braking without any mods. This kit already has the brake sequence disabled and only sequences when using the turn signal.

My kit was a X-Mas present to me which is still being delivered. I emailed the seller asking about disabling the brake sequence and this is the reply i got.

"they don't sequence when you brake they only come on and stay solid, when you brake."

Exactly what I wanted

Not true. They sequence one time each time you apply the brakes. My kit is the ONLY one that allows you to disable the brake light sequencing.

I wired the Web Electric kit and it was cake. The sequence has never come on with the brakes.

What I like about the Web kit is that now all three lights are brake lights not just the outside two from the factory. It looks really cool and gives a better warning to cars behind me.

Web is a great company. On the Good companies to deal with thread they were listed by about half of the posters.

I highly recommend them.

Did you buy BrandX? Web Electric is the top of the line for quality and customer service. (they should pay me!)

I guess I will have to email him again and re-ask the question to confirm.

Is your kit the WebElectric kit? Because the WebElectric Kit I installed never brake pulsed and I didn't have to change anything.

Yes. As you receive the kit, the brake lights will sequence once each time you apply the brakes. That is, when you apply the brakes, the two inside lights come on (lights closest to the lisence plate), then the two middle lights come on, then the two outer lights come on. Now they will all stay on as long as you hold your brake pedal down.

When you installed the kit, did you do any splicing to the green control wire?

L. I just installed the webelectric sequential tailights.

The install was simple and they work great. What is the issue about the brake pulse? Is there some concern that they sequence once before staying on?

Thanks for a great product!

Mostly preference. It looks silly if you have a turn signal on, and when you apply the brakes, the other side does a sequence. Also, to be correct, only the turn signals should sequence, as they did on the old Cougars -- not the brakes.

I have heard that there are some areas that don't allow the brake lights to function like that. I don't know where this is, for sure, but if you can't pass an inspection, or an officer stops you, you can always disable the brake light sequence.
