I have the CDCs, they work great and were real easy to install...it took me 20 minutes.....15 for the first one and then 5 minutes to do the second one....I went slow on the first one to make sure I didnt screw up, but it was so easy that I just flew threw the second one.

Is the CDC kit a replacement wiring harness like WebElectrics?

no you plug it into the existing system, no splicing is required but you have to connect it to the first bulb, real easy to do

I suggest going with Meter4It's 2005 kit. I have that running and it is GREAT. there are two options, sequential and chase, and I chose Chase which, IMO, looks alot better.

Watch the video closely.

The one of the left: 1 on, 1+2 on, 1+2+3 on, all off

The one on the right: 1 on, 1+2 on, 1+2+3 on, 2+3 on, 3 on, all off

I'd like to have the first effect for brakes, and the second effect for turn signalling.

Any kits that do that?

I also bought the Webelectrics plug in package. I let my two sons do the install, which they accomplished flawlessly in about 30 mins. Looks great, works well, and the guys had fun installing the system.

One question I have though and nobody can answer is how does this effect bulb life? With having to plug an end into the one buld with my CDC, I know at some point I'll have to replace it and well try to pry the end out.

Murray,

I don't think this will effect the life of the bulb much, but even if it did shorten the life of the bulb, it wouldn't be a big deal. I don't have my GT yet, and haven't had or seen anyone change the taillight bulb on a new mustang, but if it's like most cars, the bulb is only a few bucks, and changing is easy.

as far as being able to use the same harness with a new bulb the answer is yes the wire that connects to the bulb can be reused, but if it is removed than the bulb has to be replaced and it is a piece of cake to do with this car and bulbs are cheap.

I have webelectrics and HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THEM. Easy install, the speed looks great, and it took under an hour to do both sides.

I'm getting ready to order a set of these from CDC and looking at the instructions from their website it looks like the wire attaches to the lamp socket, not the bulb itself - the bulb is still removable from the socket.

Can anyone confirm this?

I went with the Web-electrics splice in kit. Bought in on E-bay for 69.95 shipped. Maybe about an hour total to install. Very happy, came with the jumper and instructions to stop sequencing of brake lights. I like the burst.
