I have been checking out the cowl hood from Steeda for my 07 Alloy GT. I was wondering why all cowl hoods from Steeda that I've seen on the stangs out there are 90% black with the edges of the hood painted to match the stock paint job. Is this just for "looks" or is there a reason that the entire hood isn't painted? Also, does the hood come in finished black, or do you have to have it specially painted to have the 2 tone color look?

I'm torn on how the 2 tone would look with alloy...Thoughts???

 

when you get it, it is raw and you have to paint it. The two tone look is painted on there when you get it paint so it is up to you if you want two tone or just one solid color. And the two tone is just for looks and i would just get it painted the body color and then once it is painted then from there you can play around with the idea of a stripe or anything else for the hood

 

I dont think I would go two tone on alloy.

 

I have the race version hood and it comes in gel coat and needs to be finished. The underside is black and the top is white.
