Scott Drake Oil Dipstick Handle

Guys maybe I am stupid, but I am not sure how to put the remove the old dipstick and put on the new one. Looks like there is a small pin that holds the dipstick onto the handle, but I was not able to get it out. Any suggestions?

The other stuff they have is great! Looks good. It is dark now, but tomorrow I will try and get some pics. Very impressed.

It is probably a rollpin. I ordered a shelby one myself. I would say use a pin punch or a small nail to drive it out, dont lose it, cuz you may have to re install it in the new handle.

FWIW

I had to remove the little pin. I just used a small nail and tapped it out. It was not that hard, love the way it looks. I will post some pics as soon as I get a nice day out.

LOL .. I too recently put on the scott drake one and I had to call a buddy over to help me ! at one point I thought that little pin looked like the world's smallest allen wrench hole ..then I finally thought ..maybe it just pushes through .. I was tugging and poking but when I was trying to push it through but I didn't use a small enough item to do it ..he came over ..made me feel stupid and less than a minute later it was done

One thing I found helpful with that dipstick handle was to put a drop of engine oil on the o-ring seal and rub it around. The fit into the tube is pretty tight, and it needs to go all the way in to seal. But, it's a pretty nice piece. I got the whole set and it looks great.
