I wouldn't put the clear vinyl paint film on the spoiler right away. You want the paint to cure. Its basically the same as painting stripes on a car. I couldn't wax or put anything on my car for 90 days until the stripes cured. I would do the same for the spoiler. Wait the 3 months, and then put the vinyl on. I think, once you have the pattern cut for the spoiler, you can apply it while the spoiler is on the car.
